We have a really exciting event coming up at Oak Forest High School! On January 23rd, Oak Forest High School and Bremen High School have back-to-back varsity girls then boys basketball games. Collectively, the schools created a fundraiser event called "Battle of the Badges" to raise money for Project Fire Buddies, which works with our communities. Police and fire officials are encouraged to attend the event to participate in fun, interactive games during half-time of the boy's varsity game!
There will be custom shirts for sale, and proceeds will be donated to Project Fire Buddies! Please spread the word so we can get police and fire from our towns to come out, and we hope to see you there!

IMPORTANT: Good afternoon Bremen High School District 228 families. With the expected low temperatures during the day tomorrow we will be moving to an e-Learning format for Tuesday, January 16th, 2024. Consult our district website and your email for more information about attendance and the format for this school day.
- Your student needs to complete the attendance Google Form by 10 a.m. in order to be considered "present" for school.
- Your student should refer to his/her Google Classrooms and complete all assignments posted by the teacher.
- Classroom teachers are available to assist your student between the hours of 12 pm and 2 pm. Help can be provided via Google Classroom, Voice, Meet and/or email.
A quick reminder that on Friday, January 12th, there will be no student attendance due to the scheduled teachers institute. Due to the anticipated inclement weather forecast, all district schools and offices will be closed. The institute and work day will be held remotely.

The Bremen community came together to support the BHS Operation Snowball as they organized an essential supplies drive at BHS. Operation Snowball sponsor Ms. Slattery along with students collected, organized & donated supplies to @hinesvahospital. #BremenBraves

Mr. Luby & Ms. Ignelzi's Civics class hosted Il. St. Rep., Anthony DeLuca last week. Students were prepared to ask questions about his job and the bills he has sponsored. The event took place the same day students in all Civics classes were invited to an assembly where they could register to vote and learn about becoming election judges. DeLuca said, “I want them to learn about the candidates they vote for and also to understand their important role as voters." #BremenBraves #civicsclass #Election2024

On Friday, December 1st, a group of art students from all four district schools participated in the A.P. Art and Design Fall Symposium at Bremen High School. Upon arrival, students were able to display their artwork and receive written and verbal feedback from their district peers. This opportunity provided students with feedback they may choose to implement in their work through a fun, district-wide experience!
