
Last week, Mrs. Sweeney's students created a Holiday themed Cupcake Pull Apart. It was the first time some of them had ever frosted cupcakes. They hand fun and learned that it takes time, organization and practice to master cake decorating skills. The students said the cupcakes were delicious too! #hillcresthawkpride








On Friday, Drivers Ed classes learned how to read a map cultivating crucial life skills such as problem solving, navigation, understanding directions, interpreting symbols and visual analysis. They had a great time! #hillcresthawkpride






Eddie is such a wonderful young man who always goes above and beyond. He makes sure that others are included and showcases strong morals and values inside and outside the classroom. He is the true meaning of a STUDENT athlete who makes sure to keep his grades up while participating in numerous sports. He always has a smile on his face and will never hesitate to ask how his teachers are doing or compassion in any situation. Yesterday, the Hillcrest Key Club volunteered at the Bridge Teen Center in Orland Park. The Bridge
Teen Center provides free programming/events to all students of the south suburbs. What an amazing place! They worked so hard and had such a great time sorting through 153 huge bags of donations preparing them for the Bridge Thrift Store. As always, they represented Hillcrest well! #hillcresthawkpride

Yesterday, Adventure Club went on a nature walk followed by a Camping 101 Lesson at the Forest Preserves of Cook County. They learned about building a campfire, putting up a tent, camping essentials, and more! #hillcresthawkpride



The Hillcrest Speech Team participated in the Ike's Early Bird Speech Tournament on Saturday at Eisenhower High School. Our very own, Jazmine Glover, brought home a 4th place medal for her Dramatic Interpretation performance. Jazmine performed "She Looks Good", a dramatic monologue tackling the topic of teenage anorexia. #hillcresthawkpride


Student Council and NHS members attended the SSC Leadership conference at Argo! Students learned valuable leadership skills they can use back in their buildings. #hillcresthawkpride

Mrs. Trench's sophomore students learned Hands Only CPR, how to use an AED and how to administer basic first aid in our Driver Ed and Safety course. Students did amazing practicing the steps to save a life. #hillcresthawkpride


Dan Lietz, former Oak Forest grad and director of Life Goes On, the Illinois Organ Donation Registry came to speak to all Hillcrest Sophomore Driver Education students on Friday, Oct. 24th. Students asked many questions and received information on the gift of life. #hillcresthawkpride
