Celebrating Black History Month

Celebrating Black History Month
Tinley Park High School Seekers Diversity Club is sponsoring Black History Month activities throughout February for students to participate in.

Every day, the Seekers Diversity Club encourages students  to answer a daily trivia question relating to black history. A list of all the trivia questions can be found here.

Questions should be answered by the end of the day by filling out this form.

Those who participate and answer trivia questions, will be entered in a weekly drawing for a $10 gift card.

Students are also welcome to enter an essay contest and spoken word video contest.

Essay prompts include:
  • Who do you think is the most influential African-American figure in the world?
  • What do you think is the most important movement in black history?
Students can choose to answer one or both questions in an essay. Essays and spoken word videos must be submitted to Tinley Park High School Seekers Diversity Club Sponsor, Ms. Selime Baftiri-Ballazhi (Ms. B) at sbaftiri@bhsd228.com by February 27th at noon.
